New 5C spindle adapter for south bend 10 13 16 lathe
Tools4cheap own New 5c spindle adapter designed to fit the following South Bend lathes:
Heavy 10" with threaded 2-1/4"-8 spindles (will fit the camlock spindles but your spindle protector wont fit, they made one with a smaller lip for them)
13" with 2-1/4"-8 spindles (same note as heavy 10 about camlock)
14.5 and 16 with 2-3/8"-6 threaded spindles.
Hardened and ground and has pin to prevent collet from rotating
Note: The outside taper is a specific taper to South Bend lathes. It does not directly correspond to a morse taper. It will not fit other brands of lathes.
Aprox 1.545" small end and 1.638" large end. Southbends were originally spec'd at 1.629 so these stick out slightly more from the spindle nose. (aprox 1/4")
