K & s model 642 eutectic die bonder w/multi-collet head
This is a "K&S MODEL 642 EUTECTIC DIE BONDER". It was used in a Semiconductor Assembly & Test Facility that has since gone out of business. It was still in excellent working condition at that time. Microscope is not included.
It is in "EXCELLENT" Condition. It was "Refurbished" in 2001. The "K&S 642 MANUAL" IS INCLUDED".
The K&S Model 642 includes a "MULTI-COLLET HEATED BOND HEAD" which rotates through 6 collect positions.
** A horizontal "SCRUB ACTION" is delivered to the Die Collect. This scrub action insures a near void free eutectic die attach. Temperatures can be set for Gold-Tin, Gold-Germanium or Gold-Silicon Eutectic process.
** The Work Station is heated as well as the collet.
** The Main Pivot Assembly rotates from the Dice Tray to the work held on the heated Work Station.
** Using a Vacuum Pick-Up, the collet is lowered over the die where vacuum through the collet picks up and holds the die until rotated over the Work Station and lowered onto the work. Vacuum is automatically released as the scrub motion begans.
** An "Upgraded" Built-In Digital Controller is used to set the temperature of the Heated Work Station.
