BSF (British Standard Fine) thread: this is a finer thread than BSW (Whitworth), and is found on many English cars, motorcycles, aircraft and other machinery. The pitch angle is 55 degrees.
These are "new old stock", that is, they are new, never been used, but were made some time ago.
