The UPE 65-60 circulator pumps features an integrated control of the differential pressure across the pump. The desired head can be set on the pump control panel. At the same time, it is possible to choose between two different control modes: proportional pressure and constant pressure. The optimum control mode depends on the actual system. The pump will automatically adjust its performance to the system requirements by changing the differential pressure. This means a considerable reduction in power consumption. The control of the differential pressure also ensures optimum operation of the thermostatic valves, thus preventing disturbing noise.
The pump incorporates inputs for potential-free contacts for external start/stop, max. curve duty and min. curve duty (night-time duty) as well as an output for a potential-free fault signal. In addition, the UPE 65-60 has an analog input from which it is possible to set the pump head externally by means of an 0-10 V signal. The signal also enables control of the pump via any external controller with a standard output signal of 0-10 V.
Furthermore, the pump has an input for BUS communication. Via the BUS communication in-put, the pump can be controlled and monitored by a GRUNDFOS Pump Management System 2000 or a building management system.
Finally, the pump can be operated by means of the GRUNDFOS wireless remote control R100. Furthermore, important parameters such as actual flow and power consumption can be read via the R100.
This circulator pump is designed for the circulation of liquids in heating systems. The pump can also be used in systems with variable flows and in systems with constant flows where it is desirable to optimize the setting of the pump duty point or to control the flow pipe temperature.
