Frame and handle is made of brass.
I am not just guessing that this is brass. It really is brass.
Some of this brass colored stuff is hard to tell, but I cut into one to check for sure.
The butt nut is brass. The handle is brass and the bezel is brass.
The only iron I can find is the screwdriver tips.
A craftsman with a lathe or a drill press could make a beautiful hardwood handle for this magnifying glass.
The butt end also unscrews and there are three screwdrivers inside handle.
I have not done this, but I have thought about even leaving the brass handle on the magnifying glass and turning a nice hardwood handle to slip over the brass handle and secure it with screw in butt. The are threads in the butt end also.
I just have not had time. I am retired and it looks like I would have time for all of this stuff that I would like to do, but it seems like my day flies by every day.
I burned the lettering into a board with this glass.
